The start of my twin pregnancy vs now- just weeks from the end ?????? It's amazing how much the human body changes and adapts to create a new life. ? I have been getting quite a few emails and enquiries about how I plan on getting my 'body back' after having these twins. The twins aren't my first children- I have two sons- and my body suffered majorly with their pregnancies- my first I gained 28 kilos ( a far sight from the recommended 12kgs! ?) it resulted in gestational diabetes, and a 10p 2oz baby- BUT I had a healthy beautiful baby. Yep, I was covered in stretchmarks, barely had enough energy to keep up with a newborn and BAM I was 4 months pregnant ?? I tried to stay active with ryders pregnancy and he was 9p8oz- a much better experience but two babies within a year certainly took its toll on my body. BUT again- the end result of pregnancy out weights any of the negatives ?? (I am currently repeating this over and over at the moment ?) so far this pregnancy I have gained 17 kilos, but obviously a lot of that is baby/fluid/placenta- so after I have the twins I will give you an update post babies. In regards to the questions above, I don't have a plan of what or when, other than I plan on bonding with not one but TWO newborns, learning all about their likes, dislikes and individual unique selves until I feel my body, sleep- and routine is 110% ready to focus on myself again. This pregnancy has been so different to the boys pregnancies, besides being twins and I put that down to my exercise and healthy lifestyle. My body is now carrying around 10lb of baby alone, so considering, it is doing really well. ?? I am super passionate about the benefits of Health, nutrition and exercise for everyone/ not just in pregnancy but for overall health everyday. #twinpregnancy #sophieguidolin

Woah woah woah... ?? my cousin sent me the photo on the left, the same gestation as the one on the right. BUT the difference? Left was 1 baby (Ryder) and the right is this fit pregnancy with twins. ☺️ it really does go to show the differences between EVERY pregnancy!! On the left I have anaemia (very very low iron) on the right I am healthy, no health concerns. On the left my face is a beach ball ??? on the right I haven't had any fluid retention. On the left my legs are weak, frail and would (and did) struggle to support my active labour as desired- I ended up on the floor hugging my cousin ? on the right- my legs are strong, lean and athletic to 'help' with a natural labour (if these twins ever get ready! ?? On the left my baby was born at 9p8oz, on the right I have a predicted 10lbs of babies between the twins atm. Very similar in theory, however the only thing I can put it down to is my super strong core- which in these last few weeks haven't really been a blessing to be honest, my skin is so tight that it is painful to touch and my abs are feeling constant pressure as if they will tear at any moment. ? but, I just wanted to show the difference between pregnancies- even between my single pregnancy and these twins! Let's talk GOALS for a minute ?? Wow oh wow... How life can change so quickly! ???????? Do you regularly set goals AND reevaluate them regularly? You need to have goals in order to have something to strive for, to give you drive, motivation and to measure where you want to be vs where you are. BUT what happens when you don't reassess your goals? Here is a perfect example- right now I am sitting here expecting twins in only a few weeks, above are images from the last 1-2 years. (The image on the right is when I competed internationally- the tan is for the stage lighting- not for every day! ?) ➡️ My entire goal was to compete internationally, which i did- and it was amazing. BUT it certainly is not a goal I have set for myself in the near future. By reassessing goals regularly you will notice that some of your goals will change and alter according to different life paths and changes. This is completely normal and apart of our life changes. ? My suggestions: -Every 3 months write your new goals & reassess the ones previously put in place. -Ensure that your goals are not unreasonable OR unmeasurable- i.e. "I want to lose weight" vs "I want to fit into my fav jeans" -Allow yourself a reasonable time to achieve the goals set. ??????✌?? {bump update} Hello little twin girls.. ??? I still don't feel like it's real that within the next few weeks we will have TWO newborns ? My body is sure taking a hammering, having this much weight on my pelvis and lower back is really painful. Exercising throughout this pregnancy has honestly helped me so much more than I could imagine, my legs are still feeling strong, my core is (clearly) keeping the babies all tucked up inside! My obliques (which run vertically down the sides of your stomach) are still visible- nearly 9 months pregnant!) ? The last two weeks I stopped exercising as the pressure on my pelvis was starting to see too much, and as most twins are born premmie as is, I didn't want them to spend longer than required in hospital. I am still working, but rather than on the gym floor, I am just in the office. ?? As I know that someone will ask me, this is a sports bra from cotton on- but I am only wearing it for the photo (as not too much else fits atm ?) I wouldn't suggest wearing this whilst pregnant/exercising as it has wire etc. ✌?️ Unfortunately both babies are still breech and seem to be stuck in that position and don't look like moving anytime soon! I have never had a c-section, but I will, as always- document my journey as openly and honestly as I am experiencing it. I have gained 17kilos total this pregnancy (compared to 28 with 1!)
